Mount Etna experienced a dramatic eruption yesterday morning, as a plume of gas and ash destroyed part of its crater wall while fierce pyroclastic flows cascaded down its slopes. Though no significant damage was reported, tourists had to pause their visits briefly due to the volatile situation.
