Sarah Tavel, Benchmark’s first woman GP, transitions to venture partner

Sarah Tavel is moving from her role as the first woman general partner at Benchmark to a more limited position where she will focus on AI edge tools and reflecting on AI's future. During her time there, she invested in notable ventures like Hipcamp, Chainalysis, Supergreat (acquired by Whatnot), Paparazzi (which shut down), and 11X. Now, with more time to explore AI strategies, Tavel aims to gain deeper insights into the industry without the active management demands of her previous role.
